Big Guy Performance
Size & Weight Chart
We are a pretty interactive company and one of the results of being among surfers all over the world is that there is a lot of diversity these days. One of the injustices we spotted was the great suffering going on for the surfers that weighed over 170 lb. (really 165 lb.). There is some theory that a surfboard couldn't be high performance unless it was thin and narrow. We scaled up our high performance (6'2" to 6'6") design for bigger guys who deserve to hit the lip as vertical as a high metabolism 17 year olds. We have sold thousands of these boards (especially during the hurricane swells) to the big wave big guy rippers.

• The boards run from 19 1/2" wide in the 6'10" range to 20 1/2" to 21" in the 7'2" to 7'8" range.

• The nose and tail (measurement wise are wider as well).
The template (outline) is the same as a short performance board.

• The boards have a double concave or triple concave with the same nose and tail rocker as a performance board.

• The rails are thicker as well, anyone with a little size can use this to his advantage for liveliness in the water.

Go Big

Dear Natural Art,
The board is easy to control and is not lazy in any way. It is easy to paddle into a wave, and quickly picks up speed. There is this strange feeling I get when it picks up the waves as if the board is saying “I am ready” , I mentioned this to some of the guys and they all tell me that’s when a board is made for you, its body and board talk. I have tried to determine what aspect of the board makes it so stable in the wave; it has to be a blend of almost every aspect of the board. To turn the board requires far less effort than imagined, the board will respond to a lean with little kick in the tail. The speed (when required) is unbelievable for a 7’ 8” board, reduce your height, point the board where you want it and it moves like a rocket.

Fantastic board for someone like me who stopped surfing for years and then wanted to get back into it for some fun, but did not want go with a short or long board, the “Big Guy” sits right in the middle.
