Ultra violet cured resin

For about a year or so we have been producing many of our high performance boards with UV cure resins. They are considerably stronger and cured 100% by the time you get them. Each board is cured under special UV lamps making them stonger. We just came out with a new UV label to let you know which ones are UV Resin.

We use warp glass, a cloth that increases the amount of strands running from nose to tail in the fiberglass weave to reduce breakage. FCS removable fin systems are the Natural Art choice for performance control. In our resin coats we add a bead around the tail edges for the sander to produce that Natural Art razor sharp turning edge.

THE ROUND TAIL

With the third fin used for drive and direction shapers have been searching for ways to take advantage of the three fin hold and loosen up the outline so surfers can balance the turn with the burn. The round tail has a pulled back straight in the outline but is very forgiving in the tail, very popular shape.

THE RICE BURNER

Jason Rice came up with some weird measurements and a weird outline because he wanted a board that would skate around like a fish in small waves but snap the lip for vertical return with a pulled nose. This has been one of our most demanded shapes since we started showing it around for laughs three years ago. Shows what you can do if you know what you want.

FASTER

The Triple Concave had become the bottom design of choice. Rich Price has added some length and depth to it and the results have made for a much faster board.

THE FISH

The fish has evolved into a versatile design people are getting them with all removable fins rather than the two big fish fins on the side. More surfers are ordering " A board with all the fish measurements but not a fish" so the influence (wider flatter faster ) has pushed its way into general board design.

DOUBLE CONCAVE
The need for speed is the origin of the Double Concave. One of our team riders Steve Anest returned from Hawaii a few years ago where he had ridden a Bonzer bottom, the Bonzer is a very fast design that employs two tunnel concaves to create a venturi effect (speed). Steve suggested we try two concaves between the fins on a modern tri fin to simulate the concaves drive speed, while retaining the turning and driving effects of the tri fin. The speed and drive of the boards were radically improved immediately. The Double Concave is now on about 80% of the boards we produce. The Double concave or Triple Concave comes standard in every Natural Art it used to be an extra charge but it is too much a major part of our design to leave it out

TRIPLE CONCAVE
The Triple Concave gives the surfer two driver concaves in the tail as on the Double Concave but gives the surfer a driver concave under the front foot .....It makes the board GO VERY FAST. The Triple Concave is used by Peter Mendia .

The Roundie
Round tails and round pins have become super popular. The Roundie is the Beach break template with a wide butt round tail. Circular turns, complete freedom, happy days!
